What is iridology? Iridology is the study of the unique patterns, colours, and structures of the iris. It is a complementary wellness assessment that provides insight into your body's strengths, inherited tendencies, nutritional needs, and areas that may benefit from additional support. Iridology is designed to complement your overall wellness journey and is not intended as a medical diagnosis.
What is sclerology? Sclerology is the study of the sclera, the white part of the eye. Changes in the sclera may provide additional insight into circulation, tissue health, and areas of stress within the body. When combined with iridology, it offers a more complete picture to support personalized wellness recommendations.
Are you a naturopath? No. I am not a licensed naturopathic doctor. I am a Certified Iridologist & Sclerologist, Certified Herbalist, and a fourth-generation holistic wellness practitioner. My consultations focus on helping you better understand your body's unique patterns through iridology while providing personalized wellness guidance that may include herbal medicine, tissue salts, nutrition, high-quality supplements, and lifestyle recommendations.
Are your services covered by extended health insurance? At this time, my services are not covered by extended health insurance plans. My consultations are offered as complementary wellness services designed to support your overall health and well-being through personalized natural wellness guidance.
What can iridology tell me? Iridology may provide insight into your body's strengths, inherited tendencies, digestive function, circulation, lymphatic health, nervous system balance, and nutritional needs. Every iris is unique, and your consultation is tailored specifically to you.
Can iridology diagnose disease? No. Iridology is not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure disease. It is a complementary wellness assessment that helps identify patterns and areas that may benefit from additional support while working alongside your healthcare provider.
What happens during an iridology consultation? Your consultation begins with a detailed examination of your iris and sclera using specialized equipment. Together, we'll review your iridology findings and discuss personalized recommendations that may include herbal medicine, tissue salts, nutrition, high-quality supplements, and lifestyle guidance to support your overall well-being.
How long does an iridology consultation take? A full consultation is approximately 60 minutes. This gives us plenty of time to review your iridology findings, discuss your health history, answer your questions, and create a personalized wellness plan.
How should I prepare for my appointment? Simply arrive well hydrated and bring any medications, supplements, or health concerns you'd like to discuss to your consultation. If you have recent health reports or lab work you'd like me to consider, you're welcome to bring those as well.
What recommendations will I receive after my consultation? Every consultation is personalized to your individual findings. Depending on your needs, recommendations may include herbal medicine, tissue salts, nutrition, high-quality supplements, dietary suggestions, and practical lifestyle strategies to support your body's natural ability to restore balance.
How often should I have an iridology consultation? Many clients begin with an initial consultation followed by a follow-up a few months later to monitor progress and adjust their wellness plan. The timing depends on your individual wellness goals and health concerns.
Can children have an iridology consultation? Yes. Iridology can be appropriate for children when parents are looking for additional insight into their child's overall wellness and nutritional needs. Recommendations are always age-appropriate and personalized.
Do you recommend herbal medicine and supplements? Yes. As a Certified Herbalist and fourth-generation holistic wellness practitioner, I may recommend herbal medicine, tissue salts, nutrition, and high-quality supplements when appropriate. Every recommendation is personalized based on your consultation and individual wellness goals. What conditions do people commonly seek iridology for? People seek iridology consultations for many different reasons, including digestive concerns, low energy, stress, immune support, hormonal balance, nutritional guidance, skin concerns, and a desire to better understand their overall health. Because every person is unique, each consultation is tailored to your individual wellness goals and is designed to complement, not replace, conventional medical care.
Do I need a referral? No referral is required. You are welcome to book an appointment directly through my online booking page. Do I need to book an appointment in advance? Yes. All consultations are by appointment only to ensure each client receives dedicated one-on-one time and personalized care. You can book your appointment online at your convenience. Where are you located? Appointments are held at Ametha Wellness Studio in Cloverdale, British Columbia, by appointment only.
